Thank You for Reading After Plumcake

The sad news for the six or seven of you delightful creatures still reading is I'm putting After Plumcake on hiatus. The good news is I'm doing it to work on a book, which, once finished, I will sell to you for money. Hurrah!

Please feel free to peruse the archives and leave heartfelt messages of encouragement and/or garment rending sorrow. I don't foresee this being a permanent hiatus, so don't think you're escaping that easily.

That being said, I cannot express how grateful I am for all the support you've given me.

Many of you followed me from my kooky newspaper days as Miss Adventure through all the permutations as Miss Plumcake and when the Manolosphere collapsed like a souffle on a waterbed, you followed me here.

I am truly, truly thankful.

Until we meet again,

Rhiannon

  1. I will offer encouragement AND rend my garments in grief (after changing-I like this dress). All the best, and will keep you in my feed in case you post on occasion.

  5. Long-time lurker coming out to say I can't wait for the book! I'll read it happily whatever the subject, but I badly miss your Plumcake-era writing on jewels and perfume, and can't help but put in a vote for those. I'd read a tome from you on each.

How will we know when the book is available for sale? And best wishes for pulling the book together--

  12. Wonderful that you've got a project in hand - but I do hope you'll pop 'round now and again and let us know how things are going in Plumcakeland, a most amusing and edifying place indeed.

I'm sorry that you are stopping the blog (for now?) but I totally understand. I'm not sure wyh, but over the last few years, I have enjoyed at least 6 blogs that basically were knitting or yarn oriented, but also had a lot of sharing of the rigors of every day life and spiffy observations on what was happining in blog land and the world.. After a while, the authors went on to other things and closed their blogs. I hope you enjoy your book writing and your life in Mexico. Best - Hester

  25. ARGH. You're still on hiatus! This book had better be good... I'm now having to rely on my 9-year old for fashion advice. She's got a better sense than I do, so it's not as bad as it sounds. I think.
